Kusu Pilgrimage 2019
Tens of thousands of pilgrims are expected to make their annual visit to Kusu Island during this year’s Kusu Pilgrimage Season (KPS) starting this Sunday, 29 September to 27 October.
2. During Kusu Pilgrimage period, ferry services departing from Marina South Pier to Kusu Island will begin operation from 7.00am on Weekdays and 6.30am on Weekends and Public Holidays. The last ferry will depart from Marina South Pier at 5.00pm and leave Kusu Island at 7.00pm daily.
3. The public is advised to use public transportation to get to Marina South Pier due to limited parking lots at the Marina South Pier carpark on weekdays. Visitors can either take SBS Transit Bus 400 directly to Marina South Pier or take the MRT to Marina South Pier MRT station.
4. As the Marina South Pier carpark will not be available on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays during this period, free shuttle bus will run between the Meadow Carpark at Gardens by the Bay and Marina South Pier from 6:00am to 8:00pm, every 15 to 20 minutes on weekends and Public Holidays.

6. Visitors are encouraged to wear comfortable attire and shoes for walking around the island, and should not bring their pets along. Visitors are also advised to bring their own water. Overnight stays on the island are not permitted.

About Kusu Pilgrimage
One of Singapore’s Southern Islands, Kusu Island is home to the popular Da Bo Gong Temple and the “keramat” built to commemorate the 19th century pious man Syed Abdul Rahman, his mother Nenek Ghalib and sister Puteri Fatimah.
Every year during the Ninth Lunar Month, tens of thousands of devotees make their way to Kusu Island for the annual Kusu Pilgrimage.
This year’s Kusu Pilgrimage period is from 29 September to 27 October 2019.
Getting to Kusu Island
To get to Kusu Island, you can take a ferry from Marina South Pier. During the Kusu Pilgrimage period, the ferry arrangements are as follows:
The first ferry departs Marina South Pier at 7.00am (Mon to Fri) and 6.30am (Weekends and Public Holidays).
Ferries depart at an interval of approximately 30 minutes depending on crowd size.
Last ferry departs Marina South Pier at 5.00pm daily.
Last ferry departs Kusu Island at 7.00pm daily.

Getting to Marina South Pier – Public Transportation
The public is encouraged to use public transportation to get to Marina South Pier.
SBS Transit Bus 400 runs a service between Shenton Way Terminal, Anson Road, Cecil Street, Marina Boulevard, Marina Bay Cruise Centre and Marina South Pier daily. Some of the bus stops along the service route are at International Plaza, The Sail and Marina Bay Financial Centre.
Shuttle Service on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays
Those who drive may park their vehicles at Meadow Carpark at Gardens by the Bay. The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) provides a free shuttle service between Meadow Carpark at Gardens by the Bay and Marina South Pier on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays from 6.00am to 8.00pm.
Alight at Marina South Pier MRT station (N28).
Alight at the taxi drop-off point located at 31 Marina Coastal Drive. Taxis are not allowed to wait or park at 31 Marina Coastal Drive on Weekends and Public Holidays during the Kusu Pilgrimage period.
