Volocopter receives 50 million Euros in latest round of funding

Volocopter, one of GeoWorks’ GeoTechs, has received 50 million Euros in investment funding from the first closing of their Series C round, and have entered into a joint venture with Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co. Ltd to bring Urban Air Mobility to China.
Volocopter aims to evolve urban mobility by building electric air taxis as new and sustainable transporation for megacities. They have received licences for manned and unmanned flight for two generations of their aircraft and have performed several public demonstrations of thei vehicles.
This round of investment funding will be used to commercially launch the Volocity air taxi, designed according to the specifications of the European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA), in the next three years.
