OneMap to be enhanced by partnership with Foursquare, to get 3D upgrade

OneMap, the national map developed by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA), will be updated with a richer set of location information in their partnership with technology company Foursquare. On top of existing information about government buildings, properties, schools and services, users will now be able to find other locations like food and beverage stores, supermarkets, cafes and other lifestyle locations.

Additionally, OneMap will be upgraded into 3D for users to better navigate with an improved representation of the real world. The 3D view will allow users a first-person perspective of different areas to help them find their way around landmarks and even walkways and void decks.
