Volocopter builds air-taxis and aims to
operate air taxi fleets in global megacities

Products / Services to be launched with estimated date
1. VoloCity
The VoloCity air taxi is an electrically powered vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL). With the ability to ferry up to two passengers and a range of up to 35 km, the VoloCity is an aircraft designed for optimal urban flight, including the lowest noise emissions in the industry. Developed to meet the highest safety standards and requirements of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Volocopter aims to introduce VoloCity air taxi services to megacities worldwide, and this pioneer of urban air mobility is committed to launching these services in the next 2-3 years with Singapore positioned as one of the first cities for operations.

The first Volocopter route in Singapore is expected to be over the southern waters. This new route will provide Singapore with an additional attraction to enhance Singapore’s tourism industry. Further connections may also include cross-border flights that enhance regional connectivity while offering a significantly improved travel experience to Singapore’s closest economic centers.

2. VoloDrone
The VoloDrone is an unmanned and fully electric heavy cargo drone capable of carrying a payload of up to 200 kg up to 40 km. With the same battery swap technology and 18-rotor design as the VoloCity, the VoloDrone is a safe, sustainable, and time-saving option for transporting cargo over difficult terrain that challenges conventional transportation. This Volocopter aircraft will offer an electric solution to a wide range of heavy-duty logistics operations to strengthen Singapore’s status as a global logistics hub. Volocopter expects to begin VoloDrone commercial service options in Singapore within the next two years.
