GeoPartners and GeoTechs in the Limelight at Geo Connect Asia 2021
Representatives from GeoWorks GeoTechs – Philip Park from FATOS, Tyler Moon from Lineable and Ronnie van Munster from TNO – spoke at the Tech Talks segment at Geo Connect Asia 2021.

Other GeoTechs who spoke during the two-day conference were Volocopter’s Hon Lung Chu who was part of a panel discussion on smart transportation and Synspective’s Dr Motoyuki Arai who gave a talk on SAR satellite and big data technologies in risk management.

Representatives from Trimble, Grab and Bentley – all GeoWorks GeoPartners – were also involved in sharing their industry knowledge with participants.

John Whitehead of Trimble gave a talk on digitalisation and participated in a panel discussion on geospatial planning. Deric Tay, also from Trimble, gave a talk on connecting physical and digital worlds and was a panellist on a discussion on Digital Twins. Dennis Belgrado, another Trimble representative, talked about mobile mapping and how it is changing smart city planning.
Philipp Kandal of Grab gave a presentation on maps used in transportation and Bentley System’s Phil Christensen from Bentley Systems participated in a panel on Digital Twins and also presented the topic during another session.

Organised by Montgomery Group Asia, the conference – a knowledge showcase of geospatial technologies and innovations in the region – brought together over 40 industry leaders and experts to build the geospatial community in the region. SLA is a Knowledge Partner and GeoWorks is a supporting partner.
Geo Connect Asia will return in 2022 on the 23rd and 24th March.
