Geospatial data platform, NextBillion.ai (GeoWorks GeoTech), has received funding from M12, a venture capital fund by Microsoft. In a blog published on its website, Abhi Kumar, a partner at M12, said that NextBillion.ai’s data platform is “on a trajectory to replace traditional mapping and location data tooling with a reimagined and decentralized geospatial data platform”.

NextBillion.ai, he said, helps “large enterprises build, scale, and manage their own geospatial data ecosystem, cost-effectively”.
