Buying a Flat? Check the Amount of Sunlight it Gets with New Virtual 3D Map of Singapore
Homebuyers can now see the amount of sunlight their potential new homes will get as well as their surrounding amenities and other features, without having to do a home viewing. Mogul.sg, a property search portal, launched a 3D map of Singapore this month which reflects the location and relative heights of more than 150,000 buildings in Singapore.
The map, available for free at Mogul.sg, allows homebuyers to check when properties are directly exposed to sunlight via a function that shows the shadows cast by buildings at different times of the day. Other aspects include the building design, nearby amenities, and whether any scenery could potentially be blocked by other buildings (Source: The Straits Times).
