Board Appointment at the Singapore Land Authority

1.             The Minister for Law has appointed a member to the Board of the Singapore Land Authority (SLA).

 

New Member

2.             Ms Chong Siak Ching, Chief Executive Officer of the National Gallery Singapore, will be appointed for a term commencing on 1 January 2024 and ending on 31 July 2025.

3.             Ms Chong joins the following members on the SLA Board:

Ms Chong Siak Ching is Chief Executive Officer at the National Gallery Singapore, and concurrently Head of the Visual Arts Cluster Singapore.

Prior to the National Gallery appointment, Ms Chong was Assistant Chief Executive Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of JTC Corporation, and Chief Executive Officer of Ascendas.

She currently sits on the Boards of Mandai Park Holdings Pte Ltd, Yale-NUS College, and chairs the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music. She is also Singapore’s Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Chile. 

Ms Chong has received awards such as ‘Outstanding CEO of the Year’ in the Singapore Business Awards 2009, Gold Medal by the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers in 1981, and the NUS Distinguished Alumni Service Award in 2009. She was also conferred Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture in 2020.

Ms Chong graduated with a Bachelor of Estate Management and a Master in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore. She also attended the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School.
