Following Budget Statement 2020’s announcement on the Stabilisation and Support Package to support enterprises whose businesses are affected by the recent outbreak of the COVID-19, the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) will be granting half a month of rental waiver to more than 700 eligible commercial tenants of State properties.

2 Tenants who are in commercial accommodation, F&B, retail, recreation/entertainment, healthcare and services sectors will be eligible for the rental waiver provided their tenancies do not exceed three years, and they do not pay property tax.

3 The intent of this relief measure is to grant rental waiver directly to the business owners. The rental waiver is applicable only to the rent payable for the month of April 2020.

4 In addition, commercial tenants with cash flow concerns may apply to SLA for assistance including flexible rental payments such as instalment plans. Each request will be considered and assessed individually, taking into account the company’s circumstances.
