2026 Board Appointments at the Singapore Land Authority

1. The Ministry of Law (MinLaw) announced Board appointment changes at the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) today. These appointments will commence on 1 August 2026.
New Board Member
2. Mr Keith Magnus, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Evercore Asia, will be appointed to the SLA Board for a term of two years.
Reappointed Board Members
3. The following two members of the Board will be reappointed for a two-year term:
Ms Koh Swee Yen (Head, International Arbitration, Partner, Commercial & Corporate Disputes, WongPartnership)
Mr Kenny Tan (Deputy Secretary (Workforce), Ministry of Manpower)
Outgoing Board Member
4. Mr Lim Soon Chong, Group Head, Global Transaction Services, DBS, will complete his current term of office on 31 July 2026.
5. MinLaw and SLA extend our deepest gratitude to Mr Lim for his invaluable contributions to SLA during his appointment.

New Member

Mr Keith Magnus is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Evercore’s Asia office, a major international financial institution headquartered in Wall Street. He is also a Senior Managing Director, and a member of Evercore’s Management Committee, which runs the firm globally, making him one of few Singaporeans to serve in the firm’s global leadership.
He established Evercore’s Singapore office in 2013 and, across a career of more than 25 years in investment banking (22 years as CEO/Chairman/MD), has advised on transactions worth close to half a trillion SGD. He has received over 30 awards from leading industry publications, including Best M&A Adviser in Asia, Best M&A Adviser in Singapore, as well as best deal awards for innovative thinking and the navigation of particularly complex large scale transactions.
Mr Magnus is the Founding Chairman of The Kallang Group, which owns and manages The Kallang precinct, Asia’s premier destination for sports, entertainment and lifestyle anchored by the National Stadium, the Singapore Indoor Stadium, The Kallang Alive Masterplan, a key driver of Singapore’s experience economy. He earlier served as Singapore’s Chief Negotiator in the recovery of the then Singapore Sports Hub from the Government’s Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) partner. He is also Chairman of the Families for Life Council under the Ministry of Social and Family Development, Deputy Chairman of Sport Singapore and Chairman of its Finance Committee, and a board member of the Anglo-Chinese Schools Foundation. He previously served as Director of Sentosa Development Corporation and chaired its Finance and Investments committee.
Mr Magnus holds double degrees in Accountancy (Economics) and Laws (BEc, LLB) from Monash University, Melbourne.
