World Cities Summit 2022: City Innovators Stage
GeoCommunity members BuzzAR, Mapxus, Operva.AI, Urbanetic and OneSky shared their innovative geospatial technologies and solutions at the City Innovators Stage at the World Cities Summit this week. These companies have applied geospatial into areas such as the metaverse, drone technology, indoor mapping, digital twins and more.
Bell Beh, Co-Founder and CEO of BuzzAR, shared about their journey from a gaming studio to a metaverse-focused company, where gaming pipelines, NFTs, and Web3 ads are in the making.
Joseph Yi of Mapxus introduced their all-in-one indoor GIS platform which provides indoor mapping services, thus promoting barrier-free access and inclusivity.
Operva.AI's George Chen spoke about AIRPLAND, a platform for drone operations and data analytics services, and its use in facade inspection, mapping and survey.
Saibal Chowdhury, Co-Founder and CEO of Urbanetic, gave insights into the digital twinning of George Town, a project which sought to identify gaps in land use plans to expedite post-pandemic economic recovery.
Pelwinderpal Singh, ASEAN Manager of OneSky, spoke about their UTM, ATM and UAM technology, and their proven track record in implementing more than 40 projects worldwide.
