OF TENDER FOR RESIDENTIAL SITE AT SENGKANG CENTRAL |

The
Singapore Land Authority (SLA) has awarded the tender
for the residential site at Sengkang Central to the
highest bidder, Winterhall Pte Ltd. |

The
tender was launched on 15 December 2004 and closed on
12 January 2005. The land parcel was offered for sale
on a 99-year lease. CKS Property Consultants Pte Ltd
was appointed as SLA’s consultant to assist with
part of its land sales preparation work and to promote
the sale site when it was launched for tender. |

The
tender exercise attracted a strong turnout of nine bids.
The successful sale of Sengkang Central is a result of
the effective partnership between the public and private
sectors. It is part of SLA’s pro-business strategy
to work with the private sector to offer opportunities,
build capabilities and harness new ideas in the sales
and management of State lands. |
